Morrisons is first UK supermarket to roll-out coffee pod recycling scheme

In an effort to make espresso pod recycling simpler and accessible for the UK, Morrisons has introduced a nationwide roll-out of devoted espresso pod assortment factors in additional than 350 shops nationwide in partnership with Podback, the pod recycling service. Via the Podback scheme, used aluminium and plastic pods are recycled within the UK1. Aluminium is used within the manufacture of beverage cans and automotive parts, and plastic is used within the manufacture of a spread of things, together with packaging crates and constructing merchandise. The used espresso grounds are handled by anaerobic digestion to supply renewable vitality (biogas) and soil improver.
