The DOE’s SBIR and STTR packages have introduced funding for FY25 Section I Launch 2 initiatives centered on geothermal heating, cooling, and enhanced geothermal programs.
On December 27, 2024, the U.S. Division of Power’s Small Enterprise Innovation Analysis (SBIR) and Small Enterprise Know-how Switch (STTR) Packages launched the FY25 Phase I Release 2 Notice of Funding Opportunity. The chance consists of funding for certified small companies to hold out initiatives in two matters: one on geothermal heating and cooling and a second on enhanced geothermal programs.
SBIR offers competitively chosen grants for initiatives which have the potential for commercialization and meet particular DOE R&D wants. Analysis matters are chosen by the DOE SBIR/STTR Programs Office working collaboratively with DOE’s program places of work.
Letters of Intent are required and due January 14, 2025, and full purposes are due February 26, 2025. Go to the Geothermal Technologies Office’s SBIR/STTR website for extra details about SBIR/STTR funding for geothermal matters.
