1,200 GWh per 12 months of battery cells can be sufficient cells for at the least 12 million new EVs yearly.

Argonne Nationwide Laboratory initiatives that battery cell manufacturing in North America will exceed 1,200 GWh of capability by 2030. That is sufficient to provide 12 to fifteen million new EVs yearly assuming common battery capacities of 80 to 100 kWh per automobile.

In america, a lot of the battery manufacturing is anticipated to happen close to automobile meeting areas, primarily within the Midwest and Southeast. The shut proximity of battery manufacturing and automobile meeting is crucial for minimizing transport time and transport prices for EV producers.
