The Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) has introduced the winners of this year’s AD and Biogas Industry Awardscelebrating excellent achievements and improvements within the world anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas sectors. Co-organised by ADBA in partnership with World Biogas Association (WBA)the awards ceremony, held 10 July 2024 on the NCC in Birmingham, UK, recognised the distinctive worldwide contributions of people, corporations and initiatives which have demonstrated excellence and management in advancing the biogas business.
The award winners, judged by an expert panel representing the worldwide biogas sector, exemplify the innovation, dedication and progress driving the worldwide shift in direction of sustainable round economic system options to waste and power points.

In the course of the ceremony, host Chris Hines MBE, sustainability pioneer and co-founder of Surfers Towards Sewage, spoke about his a long time campaigning for sustainable waste water administration and praised the AD and biogas business for creating sustainable options, supporting wholesome rivers and seas. Chris’ message resonated strongly with fellow visitor speaker, and avid surfer, the 11-year-old Baby Prime Minister of the UK Children’s ParliamentClark Dearson, who spoke passionately about his personal love of the ocean and the inspiring energy that options like AD and biogas have on overcoming the environmental despair felt by many youngsters – and motivating the subsequent generations.
The ceremony was attended by world business leaders and coverage makers with a delegation from India together with Mr Pankaj Jain, Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Pure Gasoline, Authorities of India, and the Chairman of the Indian Oil Company Mr Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, each main advocates for biogas’ nice potential to decarbonise the worldwide economic system and lower dangerous methane emissions.
